Now it's 2019, please accept our wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year, whatever your plans may be.
If those plans include a new marketing strategy, a new website, a digital campaign or a decision to outsource your marketing, then how do you decide which agency to call?
A recommendation from a trusted source is very valuable - but before you jump in make sure you ask the person who's made the recommendation some questions about how they use the agency.
What they find valuable is quite likely to be different from what your business needs, and we agencies all work differently. Here are a few good questions, hopefully pretty open because our aim is to be helpful. Please feel free to add your own in our comments section:
What is the agency particularly good at?
What are their weaker areas?
How do they handle it when things are not quite how you wanted them?
Do you have to push them to finish work, or are they good at getting you to move things forward if you're letting things slide?
Do you always deal with the same person, or are there lots of changes of personnel?
Do they report back to you, or do you have to ask them for progress reports?
